Wurm is not a straight forward game, it is not always as straight forward as many other MMOs. Who ever you are, what ever you want from Wurm, you are not going to achieve anything without getting in there and getting the dirt under your nails.

Easy to say if, like some, you have been playing a few years. But when you first start, it is amazingly easy to find yourself completely at a loss as to what to do next and where you are going to do it.

Bring on the Player Assistants!

We have recruited a whole bunch of experienced players (see below) who already have a reputation for helping new players, teaching them how to do things, how to survive and can give tons of information about the lands of Wurm, the game and who to talk to, and what to avoid!

They can also help set you up with villages on the main servers, so when you are ready to move, you have a place to go and can get involved with life on Wurm in short order.

The PA Help tab

You can bring up the PA Help tab on you chat box by typing /pa. This is a cross kingdom system and PAs from all three groups can help you with your problems. PAs are identified by the letters PA before their name on the list of players in the PA Help tab.

This is NOT a general chat tab, but rather a place to ask questions. If you question is very complicated, a PA will often PM you to talk in more detail.

What PAs Do, and what they Don't Do

Player Assistants are there to help you with the basics on Golden Valley. They can tell you how to cook, how start you first shed, how to avoid getting attacked by wild animals and so on.

Player Assistants are NOT moderators or GMs. They are not there to rescue you from mines, or sort out moderation issues. They can, however, advise you whether your problem is one that you should refer to /dev (which is how you contact GMs) or whether it is something that you need to work out for yourself.

Recruitment

Part of the PA role is to help recruit new players to villages on the main servers. If you wish to find a village to move to, please ask any PA and they can help you out. Remember, you don't have to stick with the kingdom you first arrived as, you can convert to either Mol Rehan or Jenn Kellon.

If you are interested in becoming a Black Lighter, then talk to the HoTS that are based at Libila's Gate. They wont bite (though their guards might). You cannot convert to HoTS on Golden Valley, but they can tell you more.

The Golden Valley School

The PAs are currently building a school near Libila's Gate on Golden Valley. The school will be connected to both of the starter towns by a good, clearly marked cobblestone and sand road. PA's from all kingdoms will use this to help train any players that want to learn that little bit quicker

Who Are the PAs

The Player Assistants have been recruited from all three of the peoples of Wurm - the Horde of the Summoned, the Jenn Kellon and the Mol Rehan. On Golden Valley, however, any of the PAs will be happy to help ANY player - what ever kingdom.
