Jenn Kellon
"Across the beautiful, lush green lands, a foreign invader may just stand, and gaze at this, these tranquil vales,
And rather than attack, just sit, and drink of noble tales." Bard of Wurm

And so welcome, welcome all to the Kingdom of Jenn Kellon. Two lands are these; the ancient and hospitable territory of the Jenn Kellon home server, and the wilderness that is Jenn Kellon territory on the Wild Server. Jenn Kellon Home offers a beautiful landscape of lake and vale, proud and sturdy mountain peaks and warm and varied coastal regions.

Both Premium and Free to Play Wurmians are welcome here, though do not take us lightly! Despite our friendliness, that lands offer plenty of challenges in the form of hungry Scorpions, Bears, Spiders and more, ancient abandoned mine workings and interesting trading opportunities. And not to forget our territories on the Wild Server where nothing is ever safe from the hard nosed Mol Rehan and the Wrath of the Horde.

merchantrow

The freshly refurbished Merchant Row at Newtown, Jenn Kellon, is now open for business. The project organised by Niobe of Newtown owes many thanks to the players who put their time into making this project a reality, showing once again the very special place that is Wurm.

Special thanks go to:

Becket, Asidecay, Redempsyn, Spellcast, Urman, Ethario, Saroman, Rotab, Woodywurm, Shalonda, Ripeq, Yupps, Wollschaf, Jesterab, Dannyiron, Dethklok, Colch and Brycarnia - your names will be remembered in the annals of Newtown.

So come shopping in the bright, new Merchant Row. Any merchants wishing to rent a shop should contact Niobe. Rates will be posted soon in the Jenn Kellon site.

A Hunter's Tale PDF Print E-mail

As time moves on in the Lands of Wurm, so too do its people. Some build, some roam, some decide to change the direction of their lives and some simply disappear leaving half derelict buildings or maybe just a solitary oven as the only evidence they were here at all. Yet others venture forth to taste new adventures or, perhaps, discover new places where they may build and once again call home. This is the tale of Emoo, sometimes called The Mighty, and his friends Dilzi and Alkanda, as they ventured forth from the homelands of Jenn Kellon to make a new life across the waters. This tale is published here as, perhaps, a message back to old friends.

validus-rainbowI gazed sadly along the empty streets of Validus, leaves blowing along the gutters on the crisp autumn wind and my foot steps echoing as a walked. I missed the clanging of anvils as the blacksmiths worked, I missed the friendly chatter of people in the village square, I missed the thud-thud of the woodsmen's axes, I missed the mooing of the cows but most of all I missed all the peoples smiling faces. A sudden yell from behind me awoke me from my mournful thoughts. I swung around to see Dilzi striding towards me; his thick traveller's cloak worn high around his neck.

"Emoo we've finished loading the boats, we're ready to leave when you are," he said in his usual booming voice. I gave him a forced smile and told him that I would be there in a couple of minutes. Knowing that time was short I strode to the hill just outside of Validus which overlooked its massive stone walls that enclosed the dozens of houses and farms inside. As I stared over what I had once called home a pang of regret ran through me, but it was soon quelled by the fresh thought of new adventure, a fresh start!

I walked back down towards the dock and saw Killgod standing by the fountain "Good luck mate!" I shouted to him he turned around and grinned at me. "Thanks," I added. I could not have meant that more, I had just sold to him the last few years of my life. The future of Validus was now in his hands, I only hoped that like so many other towns that had their mayors move on that Validus would not fade into the realms of obscurity and ruin.

Dear Mum!

Well, here I am in beautiful Chalice. The gorgeous lakeside town is quite the sight to see with 3 terraces that provide wonderful views of the surrounding scenery. It's lovely to stop in the eatery, Devour, for a tasty meal in the morning, which I like to take up to the manor level to eat in the park overlooking the whole village. When I'm done with breakfast a quick hop down to the market house, Division, to pick up some supplies and then I'm off to spend the early day exploring the highway and small paths hunting the local crocodile population. On my return I stop off my swords at the local smithy, Voidforge, to be sure they'll be sharp tomorrow, and then its off to the Depths boathouse to grab a rowboat to enjoy some evening fishing. The cozy inn, Oblivion, nestles against the lake and falling asleep to the soft lapping of waves is truly lovely. Next time I come this way I think I'll spare no expense and sleep in one of the two large guests houses located on the second terrace. I think my pet would much prefer sleeping in the private yards rather than tied to the post of my bed in the Inn! Anyhow, hope you're well, I'd best get some rest as I'm expecting a tour of the island farms tomorrow as well as the statue park.

Wish you were here!!

Dannyiron continues his walk through the Kingdom of Jenn Kellon with an impression of Newtown,
possibly one of the more controversial locations on Wurm.

Newtown. The starter town where there is no bark, and no bite! It is such a wondrous place - not just for the new players who start off here and begin to learn their craft, but also for experienced and veteran players alike. It means many things to different people; a home to some, the heart of trading for others, a home away from home for far flung Wurmians, each having their own feelings as is common with many large towns. It is a fantastic place to meet new people, discuss, find your way, or just hang around!!
