Wurm Online offers two main account types, a Basic, free account and a suped up premium account.

Free to Play

Unlike many MMO games out there, out Free to Play account is not time limited or some strange account that allows you to touch but not use. All players start as Free to Play on the entry Golden Valley server. This is a genuine, fully functional account but with a few limitations.

• You cannot raise your Skills or characteristics (like strength) higher than 20, or your faith higher than 30.
• You cannot join the premium only kingdoms of Jenn Kellon, Mol-Rehen or the Wild server.

This does mean that there are a few things that you wont be able to do. Stone houses require a masonry skill of 30, so you will have to stick to wooden houses. Your strength is capped at 20 so you wont be able to knock down walls or dig up roads. And you wont be able to become an amazing warrior. But you can start to build your skills, and if you love the game and want to remove the barrier, you can simply log into the shop and buy premium! It is very simple and very unpressurised!

Premium

If you want to remove the limitations of a Free to Play account, then you have to buy premium time for your account and move to a premium server. You will need a premium to be able to move to the main worlds of Wurm. Premium time is bought through Paypal and Allopass (phone payments) for as little as 10€ (Euros) for 2 months (both methods can be found in the wurm shop). Premium players have the caps removed enabling them to gain high skills to create high quality items in the game.

Premium players also have one referral which they can use to reward another premium player. Usually, the player who introduced them to the game. When a premium player receives a referral from another player, they can redeem it for either 5 silver coins or one month of free premium time, so it pays to introduce your friends to WurmOnline.

Registering

There is a simple Two-step registration service to create your character. You will be asked to chose a player name and password, as well as pick which kingdom and sever you wish to join, but don't worry, if you change your mind later, you can convert to another kingdom (up to 3 times), or move to another server (unlimited). The Wurm Shop

If you decide to become premium, which you can do before starting the game, or later on if you wish to try the game first. You have to pay with Paypal at the Wurm Shop. Buying premium is a simple process of choosing how long you want to pay your premium for and whether you want to buy some silver coins to help get started. The Wurm shop can be found here.
