When you play a game, especially an online multi-player game such as Wurm Online, have you often wondered what those other people you come across do when they are out of your sight? Where do they go? Do they only exist when you are there and are in stasis while you are busy in your real world? Or when you log off, do you leave them behind to carry on an existence in this strange, digitally created universe that you inhabit from time to time?
On Wurm, time never stands still, and more than many other games, you can witness this for yourself as you log on and find that where there was a tree yesterday, there is a house today. Where there was once a sandy shore, now there is being built a huge harbour with boat builders busily practising their craft. Where there stood an unclimbable mountain, now you see a massive ramp, all paved and fenced, winding its way to create a pass over the mountain range.
People live in Wurm. They create homes and villages, roads and wonders. They conquer the forests and the hills and cross the seas in boats build by their own hands. And they tell their tales. They chat about them in Kingdom chat with anyone who has the time to listen. They tell their local friends and neighbours. But they also write about them beautifully in the Large Rat Inn on our forums and from time to time, they are published on the kingdom pages of this site.
